brits

(Dress- UO, Boots- Jeffrey Campbell, Cuffs- King Baby)

Here are my amazing new Jeffrey Campbell Brit boots. I am beyond in love with them. I feel like I might wear them everyday. With all of the Fall purchases I am making I have been starting to think forward to the Holidays. Anyone who knows me knows I like to plan ahead. I think this year for the Holidays I want to do something to make a difference. I am so over watching the plight of many Americans from the comfort of my living room. Just the beginning of my thoughts but I think that great ideas sometimes start from the tiniest of inklings. xoxo

411

Images Via Oyster Magazine

Some faves from Oyster Mag.
My Jeffrey Campbell Brit Boots arrived today. I am beyond. But my thrill is slightly overshadowed by the fact that I bought 2 amazing pairs of Chloe boots on Friday. This of course all occurred after I ordered my Brit boots. I can't wait to show you the true amazement of these precious babies.
Remember when we all dialed 411 for information? Like really we used to actually talk to someone to ask for information. I want to go back to 411. I feel like I need the 411.

gossipp

Here is my life; spilled out on the bed. I was on the hunt for my Oliver People's sunglasses I bought last month and have somehow only worn once. Forgot about and lost. Anyway, I ended up finding them in my boat n' tote. My shameful secret is now exposed, yes I am reading the Oprah tell-all. I tried to hold out but ended up caving during a weak moment in Borders. Another dark secret exposed, I like puffy stickers. On my IPod these days, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, Chew Lips and the XX. xoxo

cross ruche

(Shoes- Manolo Blahnik, Skirt- Zac Posen, Shirt- Uniqlo, Necklaces- Forever 21)

This is actually one of my more professional outfits. I sort of love the whole Madonna/JPG revival for Fall. I debuted the first of these looks today by wearing multiple crosses with a fully ruched skirt and leopard shoes.
I was starting to get some major Fall anxiety about footwear and made some purchases yesterday. What I really want is a fur, but boots will have to due for now.
We went to a Hoboken street festival tonight and it was so fun. There is nothing that fried raviolis, rice balls and Italian beers can't cure! xoxo

spongie

(Bag- YSL, Shoes- UO, Dress- Zac Posen for Target)

When I was in High School I painted my bedroom a light mint green. Once I decided I wasn't satisfied with that I used natural sponges and metallic gold paint and sponge painted the gold over the mint. This dress reminds me of the sponge painted walls of my high school bedroom. Hot pink and black are definitely my fave adult color combo so I really love this dress. Plus I can't really fathom wearing anything except a cotton dress in this heat.
We had a little Baxter incident tonight. He found some water in the dog park and this is what came home. xoxo

sheerlace

(Dress- Rodarte for Target, Shoes- Christian Lacroix)

Months and months ago, when there was still snow on the ground, I woke up at 3am to buy this dress on Target.com. As my readers know I love the Mulleavy sisters and any chance to be able to wear their designs was well worth the early wake up. I guess I was just waiting for the right day to wear it. I feel like I do that with certain things. These Christian Lacroix shoes I have had for years I just love the crystal bows on the front and the black gingham soles. I would show you the soles but they are pretty tattered due to a few late night indiscretions.
So excited for the weekend my fave friends from home are coming to town! Lots of fun activities planned! xoxo

graffiti white

(Dress- 548, Shoes- Elizabeth & James)

Love beyond this white mini dress. Emily, my counterpart at work, designed it and it's genius because it has a built in bra so you can rock the cut out back.
This is me at the W hotel in one of those weird hanging chairs. I think these are particularly funny because they have weird grafitti print and don't really go with everything else.
This weekend we were supposed to go to Maine but due to rental car issues and the fact that everyone is trying to vacate the city at the exact same time, our trip was cancelled. If we didn't have the 30 lb fur ball we could have Amtrak'd up there. I guess this is one of the many sacrifices of motherhood.
In all seriousness, it has been out of control hot and I am sitting in the shelter of the AC. One hundred degrees is not a humane temperature and I can no longer tolerate it. We watched the fireworks from our fire escape last night and they were really good but we felt like they oddly ended abruptly. I always thought there was supposed to be a finale?
